Deborah McKenty in her office

Deborah began her working life as a para-legal and legal secretary for a prestigious Main Line law firm soon after she graduated from Great Valley High School. She enjoyed the Law and decided to become a lawyer. As an indication of the determination and perseverance she brings to her practice, Deborah enrolled in the West Chester University night school and earned her Bachelor’s Degree while working a full time job and attending classes. Following graduation from West Chester University she enrolled in Widener University Law School, evening division. Still working full time, and raising her family, she earned her J.D. from Widener at the conclusion of a ten year journey through college and law school.

As her law practice developed, Deborah was increasingly representing more and more clients in the broad practice area of Family Law. Today the majority of her practice is Family Law.

Deborah represents her clients with an even deeper level of determination and perseverance that sustained her through college and law school. Clients always get a straight answer and realistic advice from Deborah.

In her twenty plus years of practice, Deborah has demonstrated deep compassion for and empathy with her clients. She is a skilled negotiator and always explores negotiation first. When a negotiated settlement is not possible, opposing attorneys know her as a well prepared, tenacious litigator.

In addition to her law practice, Deborah has and continues to serve the community as a board member of various nonprofit and educational organizations such as West Chester Friends School and Maternal and Child Health Consortium of Chester County. She is also active in the local and state bar associations.
